June Pointer of the famed Pointer Sisters has died of an undisclosed type of Cancer Tuesday in Santa Monica, Calif. She was the youngest of the the singers at 52.
I enjoyed their music as much as most of you all. God Bless her and her family for their loss.
May this day find you receiving a Blessing from God. Always, Ron

Happy Easter to you and Bec. Have a good day, hopefully full of sunshine and loving family. I had not heard about June Pointer. It's a shame, I liked their music too.

Take care both of you. Prayers, healing and peace,
Jan

Thanks Rockie, I took Bec and her Mother and Brother to South Flordia for a long weekend to visit Bec's younger Brother. They hadn't any rain for 2 months until we visited, go figure.
Bec has been having headaches everyday, she doesn't think they are related to the tumor, I think otherwise! The Docs are repeating the MRI in the next couple of weeks to check it's status and then treatment.
I haven't read any really positive statements regarding WBR or brain mets. I thought I was scared for Bec before, now I am scared again. She is afraid of acting stupid or going crazy, maybe it God's way of protecting her from the suffering that is sure to come with the lung scarring from the cancer progressing.
I read the entries here everyday and I pray for you all daily in the hospital chapel. I curse this cancer and the lifes it is tearing apart for us all.
I am proud to say I will be walking in the "Relay for Life" cancer walk to honor my wife this year. I encourage you all to walk on May 15th or whenever it is held in your area.
May God's blessing find each and everyone of you. Always your friend, Ron

Yes, I am walking too and looking to rent a wheelchair for Bud if he needs it for the Survivor's walk. Ours in So Indiana is June 2-3. I think back at last year and how hopeful I was for a cure or a full remission. So much has changed since then. Bud has started to forget things and lose track of personal belongings...(ie: wallet, keys, sunglasses...etc etc). I am worried about brain mets. He goes tomorrow AM for a CT and we will know next Thur. I try to remain hopeful and I think I see some improvements but this new "forgetfulness" thing...well...it's a new worry. It's probably "chemo brain" again...but this time it's a bio drug he's taking. He has the HUGEST fever blister on his bottom lip..poor guy. I know it has to hurt. I know what you are going thru Ron and I pray too. Lots and lots. There seems to be no end as to how much misery this damn (forgive me plz) sickness can dole out. Let's keep pumpin' money into research and new drugs. Only God can keep us together and our minds sane throughout it all. Take care and I will pray for you you each day.

Jan
