:wave: Hi just thought since i was up for a min i would let you know i did not stay but one night in hospital i could not hack another night in there needed to be home my hip don't hurt as bad as i thought it would but my neck is so stiff and hurts but i don't think it hurts as bad as the first time i had it the dr took the other plate and scews out and gave themm to me to keep for old time sakes i am hoping and praying i will be ok this time
i can't drive for 4 to 6 weeks and have to keep this neck brace on for 4 to 6 weeks yuck yuck yuck
but all in all i guess i will be ok just can't stayup long at all cause if i do my head feels like it is going to fall off so iwill keep you posted later on

I will continue to pray for you, my friend. Just stay off the hip for now & try to stifle any sneezes...cuz they are bad for a while....trust me on this. :rolleyes:
Don't stay in one position too long try to get good sleep. I gave up the narcotics so it was safe to take my Lunesta. 'Couldn't sleep w/out it myself.
Anyway, every day it get's better & you'll be walking again soon. Then you can go shop for a box frame to show off that hardware!

glad to hear you're home. hope you're taking good care of yourself.
laughed about the surgeon giving you the plate and screws. that's kinda cool, isn't it? i have two screws that used to be in my leg and i think it's neat to have them.

On the souvenir hardware topic:
I told my NS that I want to get his autograph on my films. Of course, he and everyone else thinks I'm nuts. I wanted to scan it in into a jpeg, get a photo print, and place it next to a picture of me standing in front of Stonehenge.
I liked the artististic juxtaposition of these stones still standing eons after the Druids erected them placed next to my hardware-fused-neck. To me, that's funny; to anyone else, that's sick.
But I wasn't "normal" before the surgery, anyway. Why start now? ;)
