Hello everyone, I posted on 4-3 that the DR I had seen at the clinic said that my Hemoglobin was a little high and ordered a CMP,a CBC and TSH done..I went back to the clinic today, but the Dr is on vacation for a month,so I seen a nurse practioner.everything was pretty good, except I need to drink more water,my BUN/CREAT RATIO was 26+..my Hemoglobin was 16.8 +,which she said my blood is too thick.when I asked what caused it she said she didn't know, and to find out would have to get more tests done or maybe have some blood taken out at a blood bank..is 16.8 high enough to worry about?she said it shouldn't be higher than 15 for a female..when I told my daughter about my blood being too thick, she said that my blood hasn't had a chance to thin out enough, since I have only lived in Florida for 2 yrs, from living in New England most of my life..how long does it take for a person's blood to thin out when you move to a very warm climate?.I didn't think of that or I would have asked the Nurse.. is my thick blood due to the climate I was used to,or do I have Polycythemia?..I do have shortness of breath when I go up stairs or walk for too long, which I had told the DR 2 weeks ago...would like your opinion
