Hi I'm knew to this post, I just took my mom for a D&C and hyteroscope and doctor said what he seen in there didn't look good, I guess they are going to test the sample they took, but he's almost positive it's cancer. He said he's going to do a radical hysterectomy and then he'll tell us were to go from there. The funny thing is she just got a call yesterday saying that her papsmear was negative. Can that be a good thing that the pap came back negative. Does anyone have an input on that thanks.

The pap smear just takes scrapings of cells from the surface of the cervix. The MD went inside the uterus with the hysteroscope and took a biopsy of the uterine lining. You can have tumors within the uterus and still have a negative pap. Hope this helps... :wave:
