Dearest Pat, ...and that little city-slicker Kim....So Indiana is very pretty right now, in bloom, that new green on the trees that looks almost flourescent....
When we moved in here in October most of the plants were going into fall mode and I had NO IDEA how many beautiful plants and flowers I bought along with the house. The azaleas and the hyaciths, and the daffodils, and the flowering plums and flowering crabapples etc etc.. oh my word! I am so blessed......Kim, I am a city slicker too, but we did have to prune some trees and the wood was piled up for months so I decided to take the chain saw out and cut it up and stack it so we can take it camping. We have several oaks and maples that are probably and easily a couple of hundred years old around us that gift with an abbundance of dead leaves. But it's good exercise. The fish pond is small, only about 300-400 gallons but had been neglected all winter and needed a huge dose of TLC. We also have an above ground pool that is going to need opening up in the next 2-3 weeks or so.
Bud has been working his bootie off at the campground trying to level our camper. We have spent the last two days up there with jacks and concrete blocks and are getting absolutely nowhere. So, we have hired a helper and a huge jack to come up tomorrow and assist. He is SOOOOOOO stubborn and would not admit we needed help. Instead he jacked up the camper I don't know how many times to the point he was doubled up in pain. I think he has pulled a muscle or two. Mostly because they have not seen a workout like this since last summer. Bless his heart. He tries so hard. Today is our third anniversary of our first date and because it was on Easter Sunday, the only place we could find open to go eat at was a Chinese restaurant. So tradition has it that we repeat it every Easter Sunday. He is finally sleeping so good now after coming back from Yellowbanks and he was hurting so much, that I am going to play it by ear. If he insists on going out OK....but if not no biggie. There is a wonderful Chinese takeout about 2 blocks from our house and I'll volunteer to go pick up and maybe set up dinner trays out on our covered front porch, by candlelight.
I think of everyone and unfortunately seem to be adding new names every week to the already long list.
I love you guys and pray for all of you. Enjoy your day and peace, healing and hugs to each.
