Has ANYONE out there ever even heard of junctional tachycardia? Let me know what you know. I've read things, but would love first hand info. Thanks!

What are they treating it with...I think verapamil is a good choice?

Nothing yet, waiting for 24 holter monitor to confirm. I don't feel bad all the time. Just wondered what long term effects were if I chose not to have another ablation or cryoablation?

Hey, I have tachycardia and am being treated with Verapamil after years of trying alternative methods of treatment aside from drugs/invasive procedures. My Heart Rate is about 120-140. I just started taking Verapamil a couple weeks ago. The first week was rough, I had weird side effects, but they are all gone now (knock on wood). However, I do have moments of nausea and dizziness sometimes, which can last for the extent of the time you're on meds (which, for me, will apparently be forever). So far, my heart rate hasn't really lowered, but it takes a while to get adjusted, I am going back to the cardiologist in about 6 weeks to see how my heart has reacted. Verapamil is commonly used to treat junctional tachycardia if you don't want cardioversion. There's limited, but some detailed sources online that can explain the condition and treatment options.
