hey well i had my tonsils out 6 days ago... I have posted some stuff prior but wow! I am in a ton of pain today.Everyone else seems to be doing fine... yikes... Well I had an extremely high fever last night... night sweats...and stomach cramps (do i have the flu????) I ended up waking up and not being able to sleep until like 5am... I just woke up and its like 8 am.... :( My painkiller stopped working :( My jaw ACHES...i can't swallow- I have the WORST taste in my mouth (I cough up peices of scab which taste awful!)...both my ears ache terribly--it feels like im under water like 20ft! ahh! I don't usually complain a lot about illness ect...But wow this is really painful. :( Is this normal? :confused: :confused: :confused:

Sounds pretty standard, I guess. Sounds like your scabs are coming off, and that's why it hurts so bad.
Day 7 was my worst day as far as pain goes.
And lots of folks get bad ear pain after a tonsillectomy...mine was extremely minor, thank God!

I would never have believed the pain was so bad unless I had undergone a tonsillectomy myself. It was pretty bad.... and day 6-7 were the worst. Just wait until 9-10. You will feel like a new person. Not pain free, but you will be able to tolerate it.

thanks for your help... I'm feeling a little better today! THANK GOD! I don't know what was going on day 6 haha but that was the worst! :p
