My NEW DR is running some MORE tests and getting the old ones faxed to him...........he is pretty sure it is CFS and mentioned Provigil. I would love to hear from anyone who has tried it. I also have anxiety which I take meds for .....does this increase your anxiety? Does it help with with the major fatigue?? My legs feel like lead!! How long does it take to see if it will help?
THANKS!

I take 200 mg provigil to help fight the fatigue I have in the AM due to my PM medication.........make sense?
Anyway.......I also have anxiety and the provigil does not aggravate it, but does help the fatigue.
Hope it helps!

Hi, back when I still spent a significant time in bed due to chronic fatigue syndrome, my doctor had me try provigil, and it put me right to sleep. No kidding. Both times I tried it. I felt this fatigue come over my brain, and nappy time it was.

I just stared taking a product callled Fibro Engery Formula by ProHealth and I LOVE it. I also take NADH and a Mitochondria IGNITE with NT Factor. Both by ProHealth.
The underlying problems need to be adressed-medication to keep you awake is not the answer.
Have you been checked for underactive thyroid, hormonal imblances, candida, and underlying infections?? I have all of those, too.
Check Out Immune Support they have a lot of great products.

Well I have tried 2 days if 25mg of Provigil ( yes I have to cut the pill) and WHAO have I felt sick.............nausea, whoozy, headache, heart racing and feeling YUCK!! Does this get better? From my understanding it is like asprin........you get the effect for the day then it is washed out......Well I felt awful from it when I woke up but thought I would try it again.........maybe this is just another of the list of meds I can not tolerate..........It did give me a boost of energy but not worth the way I feel otherwise!!

Hi -
I know different people have had different experiences - when I tried Provigil it did what any stimulants do - it revved me up for while, then I crashed hard.
Good luck to you!

I have taken provigil for a month now. I can't say enough good things about it.
I take in each am. At first, I tried 100mg but found it too strong. Felt like my heart was racing and my body could not keep up with my thoughts. And had a few headaches.
So, I reduced to 50 mg. It is perfect. Feel great and no side effects.
