Hi all, I am new to this so bear with me. I have had irregular periods for 4 years since having my last child. Have had hysteroscopy and cystoscopy and D/C.

After starting on a progesterone based pill things started to settle down a bit and I now only get my periods for about 2 and 1/2 weeks instead of 2 months, but recently (about a month ago) sex with my husband started really hurting and I noticed a large smooth round lump on my cervix, probably the size of a large pea. I have also started getting yellow thick vaginal discharge and sharp abdominal pains.

Does anyone know what this may be, I know I should go for a pap smear as I haven't had one since 03 - but I am really worried about it and it is kind of hard to do when you have at least one child with you at all times.

I am new to this board as well. Although I don't know what may be going on healthwise with you, I do recommend you go to the gyno asap. I know alot of people will probably say this to you, but truly a dr's advice is best. Maybe someone can watch your child(ren) while you go? I wish you all the best, I know what worrying and waiting is all about, believe me. Make the appt., just to relieve your worries.
