How certain can I be that after passing an EKG and a Stress Test (an EKG was done during stress test) that my heart is ok?

I know no one here is a MD but I was wanting to get a general idea.

Thanks.

totally certain

theres no shame in having anxiety effect the heart
do try to ignore your heart, it needs no monitoring or checking from you

I appreciate your reply. I am just so afraid it's my heart and I am going to the Dr tommorrow and request an echocardiagram and a sonogram??? plus they also will have me wear a holster monitor some time in the future. When my wifes insurance kicks in which will be soon.

This thing has taken my life over and I want it under control.

Hi Mr_Panicky, I actually replied to another board to you about the heart stress test. I also had it done last year among almost every test known to man as I was absolutely convinced I was dying. ( still being treated ) I was told that the stress test is 99.9% percent accurate. Anyway so I dont repeat myself, go to the other post :)

I know how ya feel mr panicky I had the standard tredmill stress test with echocardiogram done a few months ago because of left arm and a bit of chest pain well it came out normal and I still get the left arm pains off and on but I agree with everyone here if something was wrong a good cardiologist would see something this is what I tell myself lol.good luck with your test!

indeed - I also had a stress test and echocardiogram done and everything was fine - of course that doesn't stop me worrying about other things but at least 90% of the time I can think straight and say "your heart is fine, it's probably the healthiest part of your body"

On a related note it was quite strange looking at an x-ray of my heart in motion actually - I kept sneaking some peeks :)
