I feel really numb all over my body right now, to the point where i feel like i'm gonna pass out. My doc gave Naproxen to take, but i'm afraid of taking them because of the side effects that i have discovered over the net. This numbness is in day two right now, whenever i go to the hospital, i feel relieved, but as soon as i go home i start feeling the numbness again. Any body know of a reilef method. Please help

hey... that has happened to me before.... I don't know of a way to stop it although i usually just lay down and try to sleep....or write.... Unless you are having a full out panic attack--or events leading up to it? Then I would try to sleep too...and well not try to fight any anxious thoughts... How often does this happen? What do they do for you at the hospital?

*might sound weird but you could always go lie down close your eyes and pretend your at the hospital! I've done that!

Lying down makes it worse, i usually have to stand up. I guess i had panic attacks pre-ceding this. The doctors think it is all stress, but i fail to believe stress is this painful. I mean i'm stresses out, but i don't think it's only stress, it has to be something else.

Tonight I had some bad upper back pains and chest pains to spanning the width on both sides, and I was thinking heart attack. I thought the worst but my wife laid down and rubbed my back and it passed in about 10-20 min.
Have your Dr arrange for some tests for your heart and your piece of mind. Also see if your area has any support groups for it.
Did you have any tests?

I too have experienced numbness throughout my body at times. At first I thought I had some kind of nerve damage or possible heart problems. I contacted my regular MD and he told me to start taking vitamin B-100 right away and if the symptoms persisted to come in and see him. I thought for sure I would be calling him within 3 days to let him know that the B-100 did not work, but it did! The numbness was relieved by about 90%. I couldn't believe that a vitamin could help that much, but it did. That was 7 years ago and I still take one a day everyday. I experience anxiety and it helped with that particular symptom. Good luck to you!
