hello community,
I am now exploring the surgery option for right temporal epilepsy with grand mal siezure activity. I found that the issues from continuing without this treatment (regular exhaustion and mental confusion) are a larger issue than the concern I have for this procedure.
I certainly have many concerns about my future, for example my job, my mental state, my relationships, etc. This is simply a big unknown for me at this point, and my doctor hasn't been enormously forthcoming about what sorts of things I can expect. I frankly do not know too much about the process itself, nor the series of tests I will be expected to go through. So I am in a period of kind of unknown right now, which is leaving me feeling kind of like that, with a lot for me in the balance.
I guess from this community I am looking for a group of people who have been through this sort of surgery before, are on this website frequently, and would be willing to correspond. I appreciate those who do write regularly here.
Good luck to all of you!
Chris
