OK...for anyone who has had BV we KNOW the smell and such. Not very pleasant. Well anyway I haven't had an infection in 1 1/2 yrs. Before that though I had 6 in one year. (just a little history)
Well I woke up yesterday morning after having sex the night before with "the smell". I think I got it due to feces...well hoping anyway b/c at least that way I would know why! Well I made an appoinment with the family dr. b/c I had another issue unrelated to BV. Well after I took my shower, NO smell at all. Dr says I have a bacteria overgrowth (greenish looking) and started me on Flagyl. I don't get the results back till tomorrow.
But here's there wierd thing. There is STILL no smell...the inside of my vagina occasionally has an itchy feeling kind of like a yeast infection feeling (But he said it wasn't yeast). I have NEVER had a BV infection w/out the smell! Or one with an itch. I'm starting to wonder if it's BV. Is there any other bacterial infection that isn't BV? Because he said there was a "bacerial overgrowth" I mean...I get the results tomorrow so I will know then for sure. But it's just odd to me. The no smell thing is throwing me off, cause that to me was the NUMBER 1 sign!
Anyway...any opinions?

I have BV and have for about 2.5 years now. I have never had the "dead fish" smell. Yes the smell is different but nothing like that. It's hard to describe!

Well I understand that BV symptoms are different for everyone. But when my symptoms aren't the same I feel as if it's not BV. I mean at this point I don't care if it is, cause I've accepted it! But it's just odd! and it's not that it's not a fishy smell...there is NO smell. I smell no different that normal, how is that an infection?
