I have done every single test known to man, at least that's how i feel, u name it, iv'e done it. Everything came out good, the prognosis, I have alot of stress and anxiety. But my question is can stress cause me to go numb all overmy body, especially my head and face? It feels like soemthing is attached to my brain and I can't get it out. I have been worrying about my health for about a two weeks now. I have had so many panic attacks that I thought "this is it, I'm going to die" Maybe that's what causing this feeling. Maybe I am stressed. On top of that, I still have to keep up with school work, medical bills(no insurance), social life(which I have cut back since 2 weeks ago), and my future. Just constantly worrying and worring. Any body have some advice for me? I am a 20 yr. old college student.

Hi
read up about the fight or flight response which can cause numbness, anxiety causes it so you do need to learn new ways of relaxing and calming yourself
self help books on stopping worry have useful advice
ask doc about a beta blocker med such as inderal in generic, not expensive, these reduce the physical problems from stress
gentle exercise and long walks will help a lot also

I have had an EKG and a stress test done and I told my Doc that I still want an echocardiagram, holster monitor, and a possible nuclear stress test. My anxiety/panic is fueled from the fear that there may be something wrong with my heart. I guess I am not looking for something to be wrong but for them to say that my heart is actually ok.
Just piece of mind.
