Anyways it was talking about one of the main symptoms is tunnel vission,
I think i have tunnel vision because when i focus on somthing i cant really see anything clear out side of what i am focusing on.
should i worry about any of this or is it just anxiety?
Im only 18 and i have been wearing glasses since i was 6, i feel like my vission has gotton worse but my dr says my eye sight hasnt changed from 2 years ago
Thanks for reading

your eyes become too hard if you have it, push against them when closed and they should feel soft, ask doc to check if still worried

I'm sure your eye doctor checks for glaucoma and other diseases of the eye. If you are worried, you could call and ask if your doctor tested you for glaucoma. Tunnel vision can be caused by extreme anxiety or panic. It can also be caused by hallucinogenic drugs and altitude sickness. Has your anxiety gotten worse lately?

hry33, i dont know if my eyes are hard, because if never pushed against them befor, so i dont know what it might feel like, but it dose seem to be a bit hard when i push against it,
SRmom i think i will just leave it till my next eye exam, then ask them to do a Glaucoma test.

You might see "rainbow" halos around lights at night if you have it. Focus your eyes on an object in front of you and hold your fingers at close to 180 degree angles. If you see them in your side vision then you are ok....tunnel vision you are talking about might just be intense concentration on what's in front of you.
Getting a test is a good idea but be careful; some readings can be higher or borderline but that doesn't mean you have the disease. It has to be consistantly in the very high range for a period of time to actually worry about it; my daughter had a higher reading once and the doc said let's wait a few months and test again. It had went down. And borderline means just that.....not ideal but again not the actual disease.
Regular exercise helps keep pressure low. In a recent study, people with glaucoma who exercised regularly for three months reduced their IOPs an average of 20%. These people rode stationary bikes 4 times per week for 40 minutes. Measurable improvements in eye pressure and physical conditioning were seen at the end of three months. These beneficial effects were maintained by continuing to exercise at least three times per week; lowered IOP was lost if exercise was stopped for more than two weeks.
Also, breathe through your mouth when taking the test and that also gives a more accurate reading(nose breathing while testing can raise it a bit).
My dad had a high pressure but he eats too much beef, is overweight and literally didn't exercise at all most his life. He also developed high blood pressure later too. Now he's had several operations and needs the strongest medication they have for the glaucoma....so lifestyle might have helped him but he never tried and medication can only do so much. Lucky for him, though, his vision is ok; if they hadn't just come out with the latest new med, who knows since the one he was on for so long wasn't doing the trick anymore.

A naturopathic approach called contrast hydrotherapy can be used to stimulate circulation in the eyes. Compresses can be applied over the eyes, alternating three minutes with hot water and one minute with cold water, always ending with the cold.
But the hard eyes thing, although true, is a tough one to call like you said if you don't really know how that feels!!
