Funny how life works, ain't it.

Unbeknownst to me, I had the standard rundown of symptoms and more prior to a physician discovering a lack of reflexes during an annual checkup, which led to my C5-C7 ACDF surgery a few weeks later.

The thing was, as the symptoms emerged, I would ask my wife if the sensations were "normal." Meaning, did she experience the same sensations (not necessarily in the same locations). The answer was nearly always "yes."

My wife has previously had minor lower back issues. Following my surgery, the wife saw the Doc "just in case," because of the symptoms, or what we thought were not symptoms, which are similar to my former non-symptoms.

BTW, if you can follow that convoluted gibberish, you're much smarter than I. ;)

Anyway...

She had an MRI on Wednesday, the physician called Thursday, and we'll be seeing him before lunch today, Friday.

Say a prayer...

Collapsed disc at L4-L5 - severe degenerative disc disease.

Script for PS.

Called in the next day for that?

Oh, yeah.

Surprised by the urgency, though.

Some things have changed in that office over the years.
