I've been checking other posts, to see if they had answers to my problem, some have come close, but I'm still not sure.
I'm always wet "down there". It makes my underwear wet, sometimes really bad where I have to wear a panty liner. Sometimes it's smelly, but most of the times it isnt. It differs as sometimes it's just clear, while other times its thicker and white. It doesn't itch all of the time, but when it does, it's pretty bad. I don't ever have burning when I pee. I thought it sounded liek a yeast infection, but I have it pretty much every single day. It goes away for a couple days before I get my period. Then it starts all over again. I'm 17 and have only had sex once, and it's been happening before I had sex, so I don't think it's anything associated with that.
So I was reading about BV...but I'm not even sure.
I should go to my doctors, but I don't like them as I don't feel they give a very good examination. I'm also very very shy, so I'm not sure what to do. It freaks me out a bit, but I guess I've just become accostomed to dealing with it.
Help?? :(

that doesn't seem like the symptoms of BV at all to me. i have recurring BV and those aren't anything like my symptoms. it does sound a lot like yeast though. and yeast doesn't usually just go away. so if you got it awhile back and it's still there you probably should just get the courage to see a doctor. it's really nothing to be embarrassed about. unfortunately, it's very common. it's not really anything to do with sex usually. i'd gotten a yeast infection way before i'd even had my 1st kiss and WAY before i'd had sex.

yeast is usually clumpy and thick like cottage cheese. And it's not watery so your wetness doesn't sound like yeast to me. When I've had it, the discharge usually stays put unless I bear down.

That is not the case with BV. And there are women with BV that don't have the odor associated with the discharge. BV discharge is typically thin and greyish and will cause your panties to get wet.
Symptoms vary, some have itching, I don't. Some of odor, I do. Some have burning, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. My symptoms actually change depending on the time of month.

You really need to get over your embarrassment of going to the doctor. I understand what you're saying, b/c I was like that for a LONG time. Not until I hit my late 20's early 30's did I come to realize how silly I was being. You are only hurting yourself needlessly and prolonging finding some relief by going to get a diagnosis. You have to know what you're dealing with to be able to fix it. And doctors have seen a kazillion vaginas - it's a JOB to them so put your fear aside and go see a doc. Getting "diagnosed" from a web forum isn't going to help you and may actually do more harm.

good luck.
