Saw Palmetto extract from the Palmetto Berries are high in fatty acids and Plant Sterols benefit the prostate by blocking DHT form binding to receptors so it keeps it from growing and also for ''male pattern'' hair loss and its Plant Sterols for autoimmunity disorders.......

Hey, 6Foot,does Saw Palmetto have any benefits for young men??The men in my family lose their hair early, would it be a good idea if I start taking it early on,or will it cause some side effects??

I have not read or heard of any side effects of this plant although any plant/herb could be dangerous at super high levels so just go by the recommended levels and you should have no problem. Also a good idea to cycle it every 45 to 60 days (take a week off ) then resume as the body will adapt and benefits could lessen. It acts just like ''Propecia'' on hair loss blocking the DHT sites in the Prostate.....

Do you mean ''male breast?? I don't know about that but i have never heard of any large connctions with saw palmetto.Saw palmetto doesn't promote Estrogen but just blocks DHT a by-product of Testosterone... later .........
