I have not been eating properly for about 4 or 5 months. I started to choke on food and this led to only eating sloppy foods.this then deteriorated to soups and drinks only. I have lost so much weight very quickly in the last few weeks and I am so weak and fatigued. I am getting dizzy and the nausea is awful. Does anyone have any idea how I can get my confidence back to eat? I am almost frightened to eat. Living on soups, the odd bowl of porridge. Nutritional supplement drinks. Appreciate any advice thanks/

Do you have anxiety problems? I ask this because I have actually been through this before and I thought I was the only one! I had this constant fear that I would choke if I ate regular food because I felt like I had a lump in my throat! I saw the doctor who diagnosed me with anxiety disorder and fear of choking is a somewhat common symptoms. Do you think this could be what is going on with you?

It might have made things worse as I suffer with anxiety but I am awaiting edoscopy as I have other symptoms...all day nausea, fatigue, heartburn etc
If yours was anxiety how did you handle it. How did you start eating properly please?
