i am 20 years old and have had diabetes since i was 5. When i was first diagnosed they said my arms were too small to put shots in them so they suggested my upper legs. After so long scar tissue has built up in them and i have these big poofs on my legs its quite embarrassing when i go swimming. i give shots in my stomach and butt also but im worried that this will happen in these areas also..has anybody heard of this scar tissue build up happening?
thanks for any info

Absolutely,
I have heard of it, it is nothing to worry about. It goes away after a while, however you shouldn't give shots there anymore because it will not absorb the insulin and can cause abnormal side effects like lows or highs that you would not normaly experience.
try BD ultra thin in your arms, It really will not hit your muscle or anything. Push your arm against a wall to get the skin to push up and stick the needle in that way. Almost gauranteed to not hit the muscle.
