Hi Everyone..
First time posting here. I am writing out of desperation because I can't get a doctor's appt. until next week. First let me start off by saying, I am 8 weeks pregnant - so the pain I am feeling is probably worse since I can't take advil, etc...only Tylenol which doesn't seem to be getting the job done.
Anyways, last Tuesday I had a really bad tension headache. When that went away I had a horrible deep ache in my neck. It's been continuous since Wednesday. It's only on my right side and I can actually pinpoint the exact spot by pressing on it (about 2 inches up from the base of my neck and 1 inch down (diagonally from my ear lobe). It will just ache on it's own even without moving it. However, if I do move it - it only hurts when looking left or right - not when I look up or down.
A few things help - heating pads help a little. Hot showers - only slightly. And, laying down on pillows to sleep really aggravates it. I have a microwave heating pad thing that velcroes around my neck - I've found that even after the heat wears off - my neck still feels better secure in the heating pad.
Anyways, like I said, I can't get into the doctor until next week...can't take muscle relaxers or Advil because of being pregnant. I am very worried about what this could be?
I hope someone can enlighten me.........THANKS!
