Has anyone used Neurontin to treat insomnia? My hubby was prescribed thhis by this psychiatrist b/c Trazadone was making him too groggy during the day.

Neurontin gave me hypersomnia. It makes you extremely drowsy just like Trazadone. It is still worth a try. It might be different for your husband. At the time, I didn't have insomnia but was instead taking it as a mood stabilizer.

I don't know about the Neurontin. But I have, over 15 years of dealing with chronic insomnia, recently found something that, so far, is working wonderfully for me. It's available at all major drug stores, health-food stores, etc. It's Hyland's "Calms."

I tried the Hyland's Calms last night and finally got a decent nights sleep. Thank God!!! Nothing seemed to be working for me and I woke up earlier than usual this morning, but I felt great!

Neurontin seems to be working for him. The Dr. has upped his quantity, so we'll see how it works. So far there has been no drowsiness during the day. Thanks for the replies.
