Whats the best way to increase your number of push-ups and sit-ups the right way? I know just keep working at them...but is there like a certain number I should do within a certain time to build them up properly? Any advice would help. I am trying to complete atleast 100 sit-ups in 2 min and 50 pushups in 2 min(im a 5'5 18yro female) Thanks

Hi,

That amount it certainly an acheiveable number for any fit person, so with a bit of work I am sure you can do it.

It is difficult to describe a training regime without knowing how many you can already do. Lets say you can do 20 sit ups in one go with out stopping. A good way to practice to that all important 100 is to do 20 then rest for 30 seconds, the do another 20, rest for 30 and so on until you have done 5 sets of 20.

Later, when you feel ready do 20 rest for 20 seconds for 5 sets, then later rest for ten seconds, then five and then do your 100 straight through without stopping. Once you can achieve this you can work on doing that in the alloted time.

The same goes for press ups.

Good Luck
