Who has used Efudex (5-FU) topical cream for Actenic Keratosis and Basal Cell carcinomas? How far into the treatment did you notice any itching? Right away? First day? After 2 days? A week? Just want to know what to expect, as I've heard the itching is intense.

The treatment varies from person to person. Normally the side effects begins within days. After a two week treatment or however long you are to use it, then 6 weeks from the start you are to be checked to see if it got all the AK. Good luck!
