Can anyone help? For the last 6 days I have had a really painful left ankle/foot causing me to limp the pain wakes me on a night, during the day it seems to travel up my leg, it feels the same as when you twist your foot and go over on it. I get pins and needles/tingling sensations which seem to travel up my leg.It is really starting to bother me now but dont want to go to the docs if it isnt urgent

Reemee,
Please, do yourself a favor and get a medical assessment. A year ago, I would have said, "If you can stand it, it's probably ok", but I did not seek tx for a broken bone I thought was a sprain, and regret it. You might have a simple sprain, but you might also have more serious damage, or a fracture. Please, post again soon, and let us know how you are doing! Kim

If the pain is intense, you should have it looked at.You say there is a pins and needles sensation as well. This is typical for nerve damage. Are you diabetic? If it persists,go see a doctor. For now, apply a bag of crushed ice to the area for 15 minutes a day.
