What is the difference with Wellbutrin XL, Wellbutrin SR and just plain Wellbutrin.

I am not sure but if you "google" Wellbutrin or go to the Wellbutrin.com website, it may be able to tell you the differences...or you can also ask your pharmacist, Doctor or Psychiatrist.

I think the difference is in how fast they release. I use to be on 150mg twice a day when I was on Wellbutrin SR but I was switched to 300mg Wellbutrin XL once per day. I have no idea about plain Wellbutrin

If you were on 300mgs a day on regular Wellbutrin, you would take it several times a day, depending on your doctors instrustions. I took 300mgs of Luvox, it came in 100mgs pills and my doc had me take 200mgs in the am and 100 mgs in the pm. Some pills can be cut in half so you could take the above 150mg am and pm.

SR is slow release and taken twice a day and XL is extended release and you only have to take it once a day.
