Hi looking for advice/info on my exercise routine. What I do is an hour on the treadmill, a 30 minute pilates tape (abs, buns and legs 10 minutes on each) and about 30 minutes of weight lifting on a weider home system ( I have about 9 exercises I do for lower and upper body, 30seconds of lifting, 30 seconds rest inbetween and I do 3 reps of that).
My schedule is the treadmill 5days a week and alternating pilates and weights mon thru sat. Sunday off.
Is this ok to be doing it like this or do I have to do the pilates and weights on the same days giving a day inbetween, does pilates count as a weight training type of thing where you need a day off?
Ab question, my daughter is doing about 100 situps everyday, should she be doing that or does she need a rest inbetween too?
Thanks so much for any answers

If you are weight training, I would only do pilates twice a week. Make sure when you are lifting weights to give yourself a good 72hrs between each time you work the same muscle. It is better to split your muscles up on different days. Try doing somthing like lowerbody(Mon) pilates(tues) upperbody(wed) Thursday(off) and then repeat.
Doing 100 situps a day isn't going to necessarily hurt your daughter, but after a certain point it isn't going to help her either. What are her goals?
