Hi there! not much i can think of that might help you but at least I can tell you I have the same problem. it used to bother me a lot but now i care less. Some people even consider it cute. ;) Try and see a dermatologist if it really bothers you, it might be a skin condition.

If it is cold my cheeks go red, if it is hot they go red aswell it is very annoying lol However i have lived with it now all my life but i think i should see some one, Thakns for your help :)

i think it's a good idea to see someone just to set your mind at ease. I used to worry a lot about it which just made it worse. Now i'm more relaxed. most people dont notice it as much as you do anyways. If it is a skin condition than your doctor will help you with antibiotics or something similar.
Good luck and post how it went.

I've been a flusher all my life (now I also have rosacea), but my boyfriend loves my red checks. Some people do find it attractive.

hey! what's not 'normal' about red cheeks? ;) if she cares about that so much you may wanna keep your eyes open for somebody who cares more about you and less about the red cheeks :D

I have always been a blusher. However, as a child it occured only on my face and only in certain situtations. When I was in H.S. I started to blush for no apparent reason and it would be all over my face and neck, shoulders, chest. I understand if this happened when I was nervous, mad, sad, etc. But when I sit around and blush for no apparent reason I don't understand. Anyways, I went to docs, including two dermatoligists and all told me it was flushing/blushing and there was nothing they could do. As the years went on I didn't really care about it anymore. I guess it's something that comes with age (the not caring). When I got married I didn't want to look like a giant walking tomato so I talked with a psychiatrist that I had known since I was a child and he prescribed a beta blocker called Inderal. He told me how to take it and when. I did as he said and I looked GREAT on my wedding day (not a tinge of blush other than my makeup). I also work in the public eye and must give presentations to large amounts of people on T.V. I used to take the meds and sometimes it helped and sometimes it didn't. I just decided that everyone that had a problem with it or thought it was weird needed to just get over it. Screw em was my motto. So don't worry about what anyone thinks. Do I wish it didn't happen?? Well sure, but now I don't give a you no what. My husband and family love me for who I am and since it doesn't bother my work performance other than when I get that look of what the heck is wrong with you (I tell people its none of there damn business, literally) I don't care anymore.

P.S. Prince Harry blushes and his cheeks are always red in pics. He is adorable so I'm sure you are too. Good luck and don't let it bother you. Girls will love you for your personality and the way you treat them. If they don't like the blushing then drop em cause you don't deserve that kinda of crap. Also, the blushing never put a dent in my dating life when in H.S. or college as far as I know. You'll be fine.

oh I just remebered something too. Concealer might not be the perfect option as a guy but there are special day creams that are kind of greenish that balance out the red when you put them on. sounds kind of weird but I used to wear one for a while and it was ok for me. (I think it was by a brand called eucerin but I'm sure there's other brands too). I switched back to makeup cause it worked better for me but just a thought. Maybe you can get a free sample somewhere.

Wow, Thanks for all of your help! For the first time in my life I am actually looking forward to going to the doctors. I have booked to see my local doctor and I am hoping he can forward me onto further medical advice. I will try that cream that helped you on your wedding day s.g. I was wondering does it look fake or natural when you put it on, This may be a hard question to answer because you had make up on but no harm asking ;)

Do you think i should post a picture of my cheek at it's worse so you can see?

Thanks again

xx

This is s.g.

I didn't use a cream, just plain old makeup (foundation). My Dr. prescribed me a beta blocker called Inderal that I took as needed. He gave me special instructions on how to take it. I think it helps with blood pressure. That's what my brother in law takes it for. I didn't take it daily only when i knew I had something big coming up that I didn't want to blush through. Talk to your Dr. and see what he says. There may be new options out there for people to use when they blush excessively like all of us. Another person on the board brought up green concealer. I haven't used it all over my face but its a trick that's been around for years to conceal pimples. You can by it in any makeup aisle or store. I would dab it on my pimples and then apply my foundation over it. There something about the green that makes the red of the pimple not look so noticeable. I hope this helps. Def. keep us up to date on what's going on. As a blusher I am very interested in what the Doc has to say. Let us know and good luck.
