ok in my attempt to get in to really good shape ive taken on a new diet, please tell me if im missing anything...

1 serving of Weaties with skim milk in the morning before work

1 piece of whole grain bread with 5 slices of turkey (50 cals total for the turkey) and some pinaple slices for lunch

Protien shake after post job work out.

3 full romane lettuce leaves worth of salad topped with 2 table spoons (80 cals) of tomato basil oil dressing as a snack after working out.

lol and heres the clencher, lean cuisine or smart ones micro meals about 250-400 cals for dinner.

and another protien shack before bed as recomended by the tub.

i work out once a day after work, but my job is self is a physical outdoors job, so does this sound like a ligit diet to loose weight and still gain muscule with?and also how much sodium should be consumed a day?

I think you have missed the food!!!!
I don't use shakes, so I don't know but I hope there is a lot of calories and nutrients in them. It doesn't seem like you are eating enough. Do you know what the total calories of that plan is? Just curious.

i eat the exact same thing every day, minus sat and sunday i mix it up a bit...would that effect anything?...lol its more or less because its cheaper then buying all sorts of different stuff lol... ummm the protien shake i have is muscle milk, its 350 cals each serving so 2 a day is 700, my total cal intake for a single day is prolly around...1500 cals a day... im 5'10, 165lbs. i work out 6 days a week doing the power 90 workout which is cardio and lifting alternating days. ive been following this routine for about a week and a half now...any advice?... and if there is something wrong how about some meal recomendations lol thats my worst thing, thinking of different meals for differnet times of the day. thanks for any and all help

I would think that 1500 calories per day is too low. As it is it is a good thing that there are those calories in your shakes.

As for food suggestions...I can share what I find helps me keep the fat away and gives me fuel to get through the day and my workouts.

Fat free cottage cheese with tomatoes.
Tuna (on a pita/whole wheat bread/or with brown rice
oatmeal and berries
fruit and veggies for snacks
chicken
salads/lettuce and veggies or spinach
egg whites/whole wheat toast
hmmm...you could maybe put the tuna in your romaine
fish ( I bake mine with fat free cheese slices on top) with rice or vegetables

It sounds like you are very active. I'm surprised that you are not hungry. Are you? I think the lean pre made meals are great when you know how many calories are in them and they are easy and can keep you on track, however I would suggest some fresh foods in there too. You could get more bang for your buck that way.

Check the nutrition and weight loss boards too for health food choices. People will often post favorite recipes.
