Has anyone used or know anything about Affordable dentures the dentist. They offer dentures at half the price of the other dentist. I need dentures badly. But I believe you get what you pay for and I don't want cheap looking teeth. And I can't afford the other guys price.Any input would be great.

I used Affordable Dentures last Feb. and am very pleased with how my teeth look.
I must say that just because the price is less does not mean the quality is poor.
AD is able to keep their prices low because ALL they do are dentures and they have their lab right there on site.
I paid around $1300 and that included my extractions (top only), immediate denture, adjustments, relines, and a new denture in 8 months after most of the healing has taken place. You can get a lower price, I paid for the premium denture (my perm set), but the economy set is very nice also. When you get an immediate set placed they use the economy teeth.
Nobody can tell I am wearing a full upper denture. They look like real teeth, not like little rows of chicklets. The color even matches my bottom natural teeth.
Also, I am a total fumble fingers and have dropped my denture about 6 times, never has broke.
I would HIGHLY reccomend AD, the fit is great, they look awesome, and the price is wonderful.
Like I said, because all they do are dentures all day long, they know how to make a quality set. You can't go wrong by going there.
I have heard many horror stories about using a regular dentist. Think about it, they are in the business of saving teeth ~~ not making them.

Thank you to every one who helped me out with some info.I am going to AD on Friday. I am supossed to have 22 extraction and a temp. pair of dentures(upper & lower)put in.But I have a feeling once they get the x-rays, I am going to need an antibiotic for a week first(to get rid of the infection) I am very afraid of the dentist!!!!!!! I guess that is why my teeth look like they do.I tring to keep up my courage, reading every one else's stories sure does help A LOT.I glad to see I am not the only one going through this problem. Thanks again.Stay Happy & Healthy!

Good morning, lilmama
You are definitely NOT ALONE in this venture into dentureland!!! There are many, many of us - probably more than any of us realize. I totally understand about you being afraid! I was TERRIFIED... I had 27 extractions on Jan. 4 and complete set of immediates put in... It hasn't been a bed of roses, but things are going okay. It's just a big change that I've had to get used to. I didn't have anyone to talk with, no one I knew had dentures. I was sooo thrilled when I found this board...it's wonderful having someone to post with that understands what we're going through. Until someone walks in our shoes they can't truly truly understand what it's like. I went through a very bad time of depression over loosing my teeth...it was very traumatic to me. Once I realized that I had to take a "positive" attitude about all of this - things have been so much better! At first, I felt that I would never be able to talk again, that I would never be able to eat again, and that I would never never venture outside my home again....but with time, I've accomplished all three!!! Please, just take it one day at a time, keep a positive attitude and be proud of what you're doing for yourself. I promise you - it will be worth all of it....If there are any questions that I might be able to aswer for you, please ask...I'll be glad to share all that I've experienced with you and help you in any way that I can...Good luck with your appointment...I'll have you in my thoughts...Let us know how things are going... :)
Hugs,
Jackie

Don't let the name fool you. Affordable Dentures has done a great job for me. The name scared me at first thinking oh great, if its got a name like that they have to be crappy. But no one can tell that i have dentures and i have the economy set right now cause they are my temps and eventually will be my backup set as soon as i get my premium set of teeth. The staff is very nice and helpful and for $1000 you can get the "New Denture Wearer" Package. My original dentist wanted to charge me 4 grand for my temps and 4 grand for my perm set. I said F you and went to affordable dentures and have been happy ever since. Like said in a prior post, all they do is dentures. Every day they do dentures, fix dentures, adjust dentures, anything you can think of to dentures. They aren't some hack dentist who you think knows what they are doing, but have only made a dozen or two sets of dentures. These dentists at AD are professionals. Good Luck.

I think my son is going there to get about 5 front teeth pulled and have a partial. I'm just wondering do they just numb you then pull them out and put immediate partial back in? Isn't there alot of bleeding?
I'm also thinking about going to them to get a partial - I had one and can't find it anywhere - it cost me about $500. It is around half of that at AD.

Hello everyone
I am 43 y/o born with cerebral palsy. I need dental work and thought it might be cheaper just to go with full dentures. I am afraid that because of my cerebral palsy i would not be able to hold them in my mouth, i know i could always use adhesive, but i am still afraid. Some people think i would have no problem other people think it will be a problem. People say if they fit properly i should have no problem. Also i have somewhat of a bad gag reflex, would that play a role when i take them in and out. I would greatly appreciate any advice.
