i just have a question about weight and inches. I was wearing a certain size jeans for the winter and i didn't seem to gain anything on the scale at all and here and there i was eating junkfood etc. well i go to try on shorts for the summer and i am a size bigger then i was which isnt a big difference but they aren't the same brand jeans too so what my question is...can you gain in inches and wear a size bigger and your weight not change? I just think maybe it was the way the jeans were made too so maybe that is what it was? i just dont want to look at the scale and think i am fine where i am and eat junk food here and there and then try on clothes and they dont fit.

Fat weighs less than muslce, so I suppose that if you were loosing muscle and gaining fat you would gain inches but not weight.

Do your current jeans fit you the way you would like them too? If so, I wouldn't worry about the shorts then because I have noticed that sizes in the stores do not stay consistent from year to year, brand to brand. For example, I always buy a certain brand jeans in size six, but this year, that same brand's capris I had to get a size four.
