My husband had his CBC done along with other tests when he was due for his diabetes appointment. When we went in the doc was not happy with his CBC results. His WBC was 15.5, his absolute Neutrophils were 10370 and his absolute Monocytes were 961. They redrew the blood (10 days in between draws) and came back with the following - 14.9 WBC, 9044 absolute Nuetrophils, 4232 absolute Lymphocytes (were 3736), absolute Monocytes 969 and absolute Eosinophils 611 (were 372). He is not insulin dependent, but diet controlled. No infections lately, not even a cold. He is getting referred to a Hematologist and we are both wondering what they might be looking for. Of course if you type in Neutrophils into a search you get Leukemia staring you in the face everywhere. Kind of unnerving.
