My name is alex, i play (played) soccer for Louisiana Tech university this past fall. I came into preseason in perfect shape, the best i have ever been in in my life. Weight at 125-130, and with under 15% body fat. After a season on scholarship i found that i didn't want to play for this school and persued another offer at Texas Tech University. When i quit i stopped working out for a bit, well not completely stopped, but not at quite as high intensity that i was training at. I gained weight, and i hate it! I am extremely self concious about my body, and pride myself on having a great body and always being very fit. i now weigh 145, i am only 5'5", (weight taken about a week and a half ago) and am freaking out. I have been training this past week at very high intensity and also began taking weight loss pills (trimspa). These pills cause a dramatic decrease in appetite, and it is difficult to make myself eat when taking these, as well as convincing myself to when what i want to do is shed these xtra pounds. I am not completely sure that what i have been doing is healthy and if is good for my body. I train 4 hours a day, running on pretty much a couple small snacks or one normal sized meal, meals or snacks usually consisting of one of the following: salad, tuna, peanut butter crackers, with water, lemonade, or powerade/ an energy drink. I train for 2 hours with a mens soccer team, then hit the gym for a 30 min cardio trying to maintain my heart rate above 180 for the first 23 minutes and above 200 for the last 7, lifting upper/lower on alternating days and try to average 400-500 situps in various different ways. I am getting results, pretty quickly, i haven't taken my weight in the past week/week and a half. I want to see my body change, i don't want to read numbers and still not see the fitness show up in my appearance.
Does anyone have any comments on this? It is a lot to take in at once but it is a huge problem for me. help!?

I think your doing too much. i understand your an athlete, as i am in the same boat. You should increase your calorie intake. If you dont, your just gonna lose all the muscle mass you have.

TOO MUCH???
Really? Why do you think that? I lift a lot so i didn't think i would lose muscle mass just hoping to burn and shed these xtra pounds faster. ya know?
My heart rate gets above 225 when i am in intense cardio....is that normal?

even with weight training, when your body needs calories quick, it will take from muscle, reguardless of training. increase your intake and you will continue to lose fat but not muscle.
