I'm just curious what setting some of you have, who use a CPAP. The doctor recommended 16, which my husband is having a hard time getting used to. It leaks a lot and he has trouble exhaling. I'm just wondering if anyone else has a setting that high. I read another thread about the BiPAP and think that might help. He has a full face mask because he is a mouth breather, and because his nose got stuffy with the nasal one.

mine is set between 6-15. it is hard to exhale. takes alot of getting used to.if the mask is leaking you have to call the place that provided the cpap and get a different size mask.

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand. You said your machine is set to 6-15. Can you change it yourself? Or does it vary with your breathing or something? My husband's machine is set to one pressure and doesn't change once it passes the 20 minute ramping up mode.

My cpap is an auto kind so it adjust to my breathing not like a regular cpap that just has one pressure mine has a few. It was programmed by the respiratory therapist. I have noe control over the settings.
