i have been bulimic for a while and recently my cheeks have recently become very swollen, i pressume as a result of purging. i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?have i done permanant damage?will my face return to normal if the purging stops?i havnt really purged for the last few days.i look ridiculous

As a bulimic...I have gone through my chipmunk days. Believe me, it goes away once you stop vomiting. It is usually one symptom that helps a doctor confirm his suspicions. I ended up chronically aggravating my salivary glands to the point where no matter how much I drank, my mouth was dry and then when I got a toothache, it was severe because I didn't have enough saliva to ward the bacteria off. That has all lead to a debilitating dental battle plus EBV, CFS and trigeminal neuralgia. Stop playing with fire if you can. I wish someone had stopped me 13 years ago................
