Hello.
I just had my bottom two impacted wisdom teeth removed. During the surgery they sliced the back of my mouth open and stitched it back up when they were done. Right now it's been 5 days since the surgery and it is healing without complications (dry socket etc). However, looking in my mouth the stitches look so haggard. It's just kinda holding strips of skin together and worst of all, the stitches are stretching my gums forward against my back teeth causing more bleeding. It's not a steady bleed or anything but the gum is red with blood right where it meets the tooth and the corner of those back teeth are just slightly covered by swollen gum. The site isn't bleeding alot but if I spit there is always blood in there. Also, I've been biting down on gauze for 20 mins to try to stop the bleeding a few times a day. All this does it collect blood and not stop the slow bleed.
What should I do about this? I'm very obsessive and I really do want to just go in there and clip those stitches. They are disolvable stitches so unless I hear otherwise I'm just going to consume alot of warm water over the next while to try to get rid of them to allow my gums to receed back?
:( thanks for any help.

Do not rush it. Do not clip them. Then you just might get food down in the hole. You will heal and this will be a memory.
