I would like to know if an unusually high blood pressure spike could be an indication of a TIA or stroke? The BP is being controlled well with meds. The elevation was immediate, lasted all day, and has now come down to normal again. Patient has had several mini strokes and is diabetic. Patient took prescription dose potassium and thinks this is the culprit for high BP and feeling ill all day. I think the potassium pill is an unlikely source of problem and wonder if he had another mild stroke?
