I had what I think to be an allergic reaction to grass this weekend - not 100% sure if it was an allergic reaction, but I'm pretty sure.

I was in my garden removing all the dead, yellow grass from last year - well I was actually burning it so I never had much contact with it - and when I went in the house later in the evening I noticed my fingers were swollen really bad, I couldn't even get my ring off. Then an extremely itchy, red rash developed on both hands from the knuckle of my pointer finger to the knuckle of my thumb, kind of in a semi circle. It was tender and painful as well. It then spread to my fingers - it was a blotchy, bumpy kind of red rash. It was also extremely dry, my fingers were hitching in everything, I hated to touch anything!

Now today - two days later - the area is still very very painful and tender, and very dry... and if I touch the area I irritate it and it burns and stings. There also appears to be very tiny cuts in the area...

Anyone have a similar experience? I don't know what to do. If I should go to the doctor, or wait it out. Are there any creams I can buy? I tried aloe gel but that didn't really do any good for me... it relieved the dryness a bit, but it still hurts and is tender.
