Hello Everyone  ,
It's been a few weeks since having my plate and 5 screws removed following an MTP fusion last summer. I'd been having excessive pain and swelling so doc took the hardware off and discovered a crack on the top of the bone under the plate that wasn't visable on xray  . So it's a really good thing I had this done. Now I'm NWB 6 weeks with this wierd looking external hardware. It looks like two 1/4 crochet needles sticking out from my foot attached to half of a knitting needle by two sparkplugs. Very strange. The pain has been moderate and last week I had a close call when my crutch slipped out from under me in the rain. Thankfully  I landed on my splint to the left of my toe or I'd have been back in surgery. It's really sore from that happening though. Anyway, I wanted to give you all an update. How are you doing? I've been thinking of you. Bye for now.

:nono: Be careful walking in the rain on crutches!!!

 I glad you had your hardware removed and other than your slip, I hope your recovery goes quick and well.
