I have curly hair. It`s pretty curly. I`ve been wondering. Does anyone know how to get that wet look, where it doesn`t look like it`s too gelled up? I can`t seem to get it right, or maybe I`m not using the right things.

My sister once said she read somewhere babyoil makes it have a wetlook, but when I let it dry, it just poofed out, unless I didn`t use enough.

Then I tried this one gel by SportsLook which has a 10 hold, and whenever I put enough in, it just looks crusty. You know, like a hard appeal. It doesn`t quite look wet.

Any ideas on how to achieve the wet look, or what to use maybe? or maybe, I have the right products & just aren`t using them right. Any ideas?

When I used to perm my hair, I used spray gel. Different ones work better than others, but the spray doesn't frizz.

When I go for the "wet" look I use Mousse. When my hair is wet I put a crap-load of mousse in it then just shake my head. When the mousse dries it does get a little hard but it looks wet. I shake my head to get a little volume to my roots while the mousse is drying. My hair is naturally straight and limp, so volume is pretty important to me. However, I know this works on curly hair to because my best friend has a head of huge curls and I showed her this and she loved it. Biggest tip is to make sure the mousse goes through all the hair, not just the top layer. You can even define your curls as they dry. Just wrap them around your finger and hold for a second and then let them drop. Do this to a bunch and they should stay nice a nd bouncy. If you start to lose your look during the day, a spritz of water will revive them nicely. good luck

I would definitely try some shine serum! Using a gel or mousse is great to get the curls or waves looking good, but you may need a shine spray or serum to get it looking shiny and wet-like. Drugstores or even grocery stores have a lot of great ones for pretty cheap. I like Biosilk.. the products work great and are good to using before heat styling at well, but there are cheaper ones out there that will do the trick.

That is good idea too. I love the fructis sleek and shine line. I use the shampoo, conditioner, and shine serum. It keeps my hair from being frizzy and makes it nice and soft. It really helps detangle too.

Hmmm.I would try a good hair oil.One that is meant for hair.I have seen this look on girls with curly thick hair and it does look very pretty.Maybe putting in a coconut oil or olive oil mask that is meant as a over night hair treatment could pull this off for during the day.I would try the African American hair section or beauty supply for these.

Beyond the Zone Noodlehead...you can buy it at Sallys Beauty Supply. It is made to do exactly what you are describing...
