I bought some at the local walgreens since i could not find gripe water and was wondering if anyone has had success with these? I have a 4 week old daughter and will be trying these out soon but was just wondering how these worked compared to the gripe water. thanks so much for any replies!! :)

The gripe water at walgreens is called "Tummy Soother" It says on the packagr: "Gentle Naturals" and then "Tummy Soother" in the baby care isle for 5.99. On the bottom it says it is made by baby orajel. We started using it recently.

I haven't really noticed a difference yet. We mamke improvements andthen things decline again. What are your colic tablets called? How do you use them?

they're called hyland's colic tablets and they say it has no side effects etc. the directions say dissolve two tablets under tongue every fifteen minutes as needed as much as 8 times in a row i believe. the tabs dissolve fast and its funny watching the expressions on her face while they dissolve. and the good thing is she stops crying when she notices something in her mouth. well at least til they dissolve!!
I know what u mean about improvements and declines, every day is different for us too

Are they working for you? Does it help stop the crying? How old is your daughter?

Yes they seem to work for us. I usually give her two doses of the tabs and i'd say within at least 20 minutes she is calm (or at least a lot calmer than before!) BTW she just turned one month old today!!

My DS just turned 1month on Wednesday! So they are right there with each other. Are you on the April Mommies & Babies board yet? I may look into the Hylands tablets.
What does your DD do when she is all upset? That then makes you go ahead and decide to give her the tablets? I *think* my DS is starting to calm down more, but then everytime I say that then he gets worse again. But I have weeded out everything grom my diet that might make him upset (dairy & chocolate) and then once I think he is better will reintroduce things, milk first, and see if he tolerates it okay when it is in my diet.

yeah i occassionally post with the april mommies. happy 1 month birthday to your ds!!
Usually i give them to her when all her needs have been met and holding or walking around with her wont help. basically they're my LAST resort. i know what u mean about the progress, its like i just jinx us everytime i think we're doing better!! i've also taken stuff out of my diet. i think broccoli is the worst on her but i looove broccoli! and milk and caffiene, things seem better now but she still has her moments and days. i noticed her fussiest time of the day is usually between 9:30-1am. so i am just going crazy for about three hours. last night i got dizzy from walking and bouncing all over the house!!
