Okay, here is the deal, my 28 year old girlfriend is getting seriously depressed about this....

Sometimes (quite often recently) all around her eyes, the skin goes dark, then can either clear up or else progress to itchy, flaky, sore skin, which when rubbed, causes flakes of skin to fall off.

At first we reckoned it was some sort of allergic reaction. After all, thie dark eye thing is not, and never has been, in her family at all. She has not has any eye trauma, and is not deficient in vitamins and minerals.

At first she thought it was fish. Then (last week) we reasoned that it was diary products - most notably milk. So since about 5 days ago, she has not had any diary products at all.

But her eyes, if anything, seem to be getting worse.

Now she has tried all sorts of creams and lotions (Which I have no idea of what they're called) and she now reckons she is allergic to one of more of them.

Today, her eyes look quite bad. Not too bad to me, of course, but bad enough to be seriously dampening her self-esteem. Which, under the circumstances, is fair enough.

She won't go to the doctor, becasue she reckons they will just say it's some sort of allergic reaction. Thus, I'm on this site. I've done a hefty seacg of the net to find images/discussions about what my girlfriend has, but so far, have drawn a blank.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Cheers
