DS had his 4 month vaccinations on Mon. today is Wed. - Mon and Tue he seemed fine- today we have inconsolable crying. He is not running a fever and a couple of times he smiled and played- but it just seems like something isn't right. Also he seemed to sleep a WHOLE lot today- but would wake up crying. Could it just be that he is tired and maybe not feeling well- or is this something i should call the doctor about?? He ate pretty good- not as good as he usually does- I don't know- just worried- last vaccination we had nothing like this- anyone expierience anything similar after having baby vaccinated????
Anything would be helpful..

Its only been 2-3 days, so he probably is feeling some ill side effects. How many shots did he get? I have a 16 week old and I opted to wait on some immunizations. I think they give babies way too many shots at once and way to early. Babies are so tiny and I don't think their little bodies are able to handle so much at once. My 16 week old daughter has only received 1 set and she only got the Hib and the Pneumococcal shots. These protect againt the main bacterias that can cause meningitis. She will not be getting all immunizations, but once she finishes with this set of shots, I will decide which ones I want her to get next. I'm sure your baby is fine, but you might go ahead and call the doctor just in case. Not to scare you, but I have a 12 year old who has had seizures since her 1 year old immunizations. She became very lethargic about 2 days after the shots and started running fever and then she started seizing. The shot that caused her problem, (DTP), has been improved and is not suppossed to cause neurological problems anymore. But I'm still afraid and that is why I am paranoid about getting my new babies immunizations. When my baby recently got her 2 shots she did not have any side effects at all.

When my DS was four months old he had a reaction to the DTP shot. But it was the same day they gave it to him. He had a high pitched scream for more than three hours. He's now 13 months and has had no lasting affects from it. He just can't have it anymore. I think maybe your baby is just irritable still from all the shots but I would call your doctor to be sure and also put your mind at ease.

My ds just had his 2 month shots and my ped told me he's be fussy, might right a slight fever and will all his fussiness he might sleep alot. Well he was fussy yesterday and was full of smiles this morning. It's just a side effect of the shots. I do agree, it's alot for such a little person, but I feel safer with them being done. They gave me a paper telling me about each one, what happens if they catch the disease and the side effects of the shots (If any). I wouldn't worry to much, if it gets bad just call your ped! Good luck!!

DS got his shots and a few days later, was sleepier, fussier and wouldn't eat very well. Turns out he got an ear infection, so back to the clinic we went.
