Anyone ever brave enough to return makeup to the drug store? I just bought a Maybelline lipstick and the color looked pretty in the store, but it was hideously dark when applied. I'm so tired of constantly picking the wrong color and then being stuck with it. I almost never buy new makeup for this very reason. Will they laugh at me if I return it opened?

I've returned makeup not only to drug stores but to expensive department stores.I always ask if I may return it if I don't like it, and they always say YES..as long as you have a receipt.Oh...and don't worry, they will not laugh at you. I'm sure many people do the same. : )

I return makeup all the time. If they don't like it, they need to provide samples. Note to the manufacturers. So annoying.

Rite-Aid allows customers to return opened makeup. It is more expensive there, but if I want to buy something I'm not too sure about...I buy it there so I can return. Also, WalMart will allow you to exchange a product once, as long as you have the receipt....

I've definitely returned makeup. I bought a liquid eyeliner that looked great and easy to use.. but it definitely wasn't coming out enough and looked weird! They had no problem with me returning it to CVS and I'm sure lots of people did it there since they didn't seem weirded out by it! Go for it :)

Yep me too! I 've had no problems returning opened makeup at major department stores like Macy's, Dillards, Nordstrom etc.... and Target! I just make sure I don't rip the package open like an animal to make it as presentable and neat as possible if I have to return it. :) heheh I also return lotions, face wash products, creams etc... that don't deliver what they claim to deliver... The manufacturers need to know when their product stinks! lol
