I seem to have dry facial skin, you can even see the dry skin peel when I rub it, usually in between my eyebrow area and going down to my nose. I'm 29. I only use Clinique's Acme cleanser, and I guess it does work, I only break out with 2 or 3 every month due to my period. And I do not use any other creams or anything.

However, I'm tired of this dry skin. What can I put on it? And at 29, should I start using any anti-wrinkle creams? I must admit I still look like I'm 20 and others have told me I have very soft skin. It's pretty smooth too...genes I guess. But what do you think? Thanks :)

Try using a moisturising cream on your face, make sure you use one designed for oily skin. Make sure you are drinking enough water everyday as well.

Stef457, I also have dry facial skin.
I'v tried alot of moisturizers.
The best one was
Olay Complete Ultra-Rich Moisture Lotion For Extra Dry Skin.
It has vitamins A, E, B3, pro-vitamins B5, Zinc Oxide and SPF 15.
Its Non-Comedogenic
This lotion did wonders for my face.
It also feels really good on the face.

I also have dry facial skin and I just started using camellia oil. After only two days, I already don't have any more dead skin on my nose or forehead. You may want to look into it to see if it will work for you. Good luck. :)

I have the same problem and was diagnosed with Seb (can't spell it...) Dermatitis on my face and it sounds like what you have. It is similar to dandruff but occurs around the eyebrows and nose on the face. It was told i had dry skin for years but turns out is is acually oily skin. Try washing your face more often and using a really gentle cleanser and moisturiser. There are presecribtion creams and over the counter creams avaiable which really help too so ifit gets annoying ask your Dr.

Cleanser can actually make things worse in some cases. I gave up using cleanser about a year ago. Now I just wash with either just hot water or a very gently vegetable or olive oil soap, then I use Lush's Celestial moisturiser. It's lovely and soft and creamy and my skin has never looked better.
As far as the whole anti-wrinkle thing is concerned, I certainly wouldn't fork out for the over-priced, over-hyped cosmetic creams at any age. The best things you can do for your skin are: drink at least 2 litres of water a day, eat good fats (and maybe take a flaxseed oil supplement), use a light SPF cream on your face all the time and eat a good diet high in fresh veg etc (and don't smoke). And try to limit how often you wear foundation etc.
You're very lucky that your skin looks 10 years younger than you are, so good luck keeping it that way too.
As far as whether or not your skin is actually too dry or too oily (as suggested in the last post) you could try using different combinations of products (cleanser with no moisturiser, vice versa, both, neither etc) for a couple of weeks each time and note the effects. It's taken me until the age of 37 to get my skin to a state where I am happy with it, I almost never get spots, I don't have any wrinkles (yet!) and I never wear make up.

Hi. I suffer with dry facial skin, and a few years ago my face was in
a terrible state. The skin was peeling off like yourself. I came across
Eucerin face cream with 5% urea in it. It has worked for me really well.
They have just brought out a Dry Skin relief night renewal face
cream, it is really good. Its a bit expensive, I think its £11 for a tube. It
does last a long time though. Let me know if this helps. You can get
this from boots.
