I know therapists probably have to deal with patients going to see other people, and they probably dont take it as personally as i think they do. My current therapist has been helping me a lot since December, and now i feel like we haven't gotten anywhere for the past 2 months. I have an appointment with the lady that runs my group therapy this week for individual therapy with her. I want to see how it goes, and possibly start seeing her weekly. What should I say to my other therapist? because she has helped me a lot, but i just feel like i've got as far as she can take me.

Tell her the truth. I have done that a couple of times. You will get certain things from certain therapists. It is your recovery and your money. If she/he is a healthy therapist then it will all go fine. Just make sure you are leaving for healthy reasons.

Honestly, your therapist is one of your greatest resources in your recovery, it is essential you have a productive relationship if you want to keep moving toward health.

Be honest and be healthy.
