Tonight when I shaved my Legs they itched sooo intensely I thought I would climb the walls!I've been using Skintimate Moisturizing Shave Gel with Vitamin E ultra protection..what can I use before shaving to minimize or stop the itch?I shave in the shower(of course)so my pores are open and skin is moist when I shave..I noticed when I play with my Cat and she bites and nips me my Skin will itch..maybe I'm having an Allergic reaction?

Hm, yeah from your cat maybe it is a slight allergy? Not too sure about that.. but as for the itching caused by shaving, there are things you can do. First of all, what razor are you using? I use the Venus Vibrance razor, or Venus Divine, they both have the same blades. Before I started using it I would get razor burn that itched or hurt and would look ugly.. but the blades have more moisturizing strips than most razors. Make sure your change your blades too and you're not using a bull done for too long. You may want to try a different gel than Skintimate. I used to use it and it would work fine, but then it seemed like I needed something else.. I currently use a thick body wash and it actually worked better.. or even hair conditioner. Lastly, make sure you moisturize after shaving.. put on some non-irritating cream on your legs after you shower (oh and don't shave dry legs.. that DEFINITELY causes irritation!). Use a non-scented one if you have sensitive skin, like Curel. If all else fails, they do well products like Tend Skin that are meant for razor irritation.
