Hey, I wonder if you could help me..
I seem to get quite bad stomach pains after i drink alcohol. It's usually a couple of hours after my last drink(usually woken up by pain in bed). I know it's not due to excess alcohol because i had one glass of wine last weekend and i was in terrible pain.I've tried drinking different types but still the same outcome. This problem isn't affecting my life as i'm not much of a drinker anyway, but it would be nice to relax on occasions with a little drink.I'm never bothered with these pains any other time, it's just alcohol(i can eat spicy foods, acidy fruit drinks etc with no pain at all. I went to my GP and explained my situation and he thinks i've just a sensitive stomach. Has anyone else ever heard of this? Any feedback would be great.

Thanks.

Hi Fraser,
Not sure if this applies to you or not, but for me, I get stomach pains so bad that if I were to move I would probably vomit. Happened to me after only half a glass of wine.
I've since discovered I am allergic to the sulfites in wine. So I just stay away from wine (and sulfites). Other alcohol doesn't affect me, only wine.
