there are several viruses that are forms of the herpes virus:
-obviously HSV1 and HSV2
-Varcella-zoster virus--virus that causes chicken pox and shingles
-Cytomegalovirus (CMV) -- seems to be pretty common with weakened immune systems
-Epstein-Barr -- causes mono
-human herpesvirus type 6 (HHV6) -- aka roseola, common among infants
-human herpesvirus type 7 (HHV7) -- I think it's unknown if this one causes disease..
I just googled this stuff, ya'll can do the same for more info, but I think it's important to note that, yes these are all forms of the herpes virus, but at the same time have very different symptoms and long term effects if any.
It wouldn't be a surprise that someone had all 6..well my list actually has 7. Almost everyone gets the chicken pox, and mono is very common as well. I dont know about CMV or type 6 or 7, but after looking them up it seems very probable that you could come across these without realizing that its even a form of herpes...

Hi there,
Yep...the list counts seven wonderful herpes viruses that will lie you down flat if you are somewhat immune difficient.
I have tested positive for 6, (not sure about 7), it seems that 4 of them are somewhat active at the moment and it is an exhausting and dibilitating combination for me. I spent about a year with EBV when some of the others "woke up" again so it has laid me down flat on my face a few times. YOu can feel the viral load coming and there is nothing you can do to stop it...just slow it down by taking it easy. Reduce stress....sounds like a joke in this modern fast-paced world. The worst thing for me has been the fact that it has attacked my nervous system. Certain nerve endings ache and my trigeminal nerve is the most painful of them all due to a herpes faciailis that I had 4 years ago across my entire chin...the nerve memory unfortunately remebers the location and due to some stress and dental work, it has "come alive" again with a bang causing eye pain, ear pain and incredible jaw pain. The HHV 6 is not pleasant when re-awakened in a weakened immune system.
Anyway, long story, don't intend to bore anyone.
Just wanted to confirm that yes, it is possible for us to be walking Herpes viruses and not even know that we have all 7 or have such severe symptoms you think your day has come. CFS is often due to herpes and MS as well....scary.
Take care
