chick4u 05-07-2006, 05:08 PM Hey every1 I just purchases the Neutrogena Sunless Mico Tanning airbrush spray. I got the one that goes 2 shades darker. Anyone tried it yet? Did it leave blotches on the skin.. I haven't used it yet. But about to! Sponsor MoonLight0 05-07-2006, 05:40 PM There is another post I saw on here about the same product. I also researched it on another website and most reviews claim that it works better than most other self-tanners, especially because it doesn't stain you hands since you don't have to rub it on; however, some people claim that rubbing it on a bit after applying helps to prevent streaks. I haven't tried it yet either, but I plan on trying it this summer. Hopefully it will work better than self-tanning lotions. I hate how my hands ALWAYS get stained no matter how well I wash them afterwards. Good luck. Hope it works well for you. tUrRrRa 05-07-2006, 06:34 PM Hey! I was the one who posted about this before. No, it doesn't make me blotchy at all. I bought the one that makes you 3 shades darker. Mine actually doesn't make a huge difference.. just a subtle tan, so sometimes I'll put it on for a few days in a row to make it build up and get dark. The great thing about this product is that it's very quick and easy and no rubbing in (no orange hands). I just mist it all over and it dries pretty quick and doesn't smell as much as most of them out there. It also hasn't stained any of my white clothes or sheets. I do use lotion after I shower, so I keep my skin soft all the time, but I don't do anything in particular before putting on the self tanner. I actually don't even exfoliate like they say you should.. and I spray it on my knees and even the tops of my feet and they always come out fine too!! I'd recommend this product to anyone looking for a natural looking tan that is quick and easy, or someone who has had problems with streaking. kathy2d2 05-21-2006, 08:01 PM I use this - it is very easy and probably the best thing to do feet with. I find it to be a little orange though and it does look better if I rub it in a little, although I don't always do that. I also use the Neutrogena build a tan lotion, which actually produces a more natural looking tan, although it is more trouble because you have to rub it in. The reason I like the lotion is that it doesn't have that odor that most of those sunless tanners (including the micro mist) have. The Neutrogena build a tan lotion works great on arms in particular, you can't tell it from natural tan. Bell99 05-22-2006, 11:10 AM How long does the tan last? kathy2d2 05-22-2006, 11:41 AM I'm not sure exactly, since I use it, or the lotion, almost daily, so I continually look tanned. Sometimes I skip a day or 2, but never more than that. Occasionally I use a hair dryer to dry it faster. I will say, however, it does RUB OFF on your towels after a shower no matter how long it dries, but it washes out. I also find eventhough I do it in the mornings, which gives it hours and hours to dry, my side of the bed sheets looks a bit yellow compared to the other side of the bed, and if I wear white or light clothing that is tight against the skin, some does come off on the inside of them. Again, it washes out. tUrRrRa 05-22-2006, 12:28 PM I apply it every few days, and if I want more color, every day or two. The Micromist never turns me orange and doesn't give me a LOT of color in one use, and maybe this is because I'm always putting on regular lotion to keep my skin soft and smooth! It does work well on feet though.. b/c every other kind I've used makes my feet look orange, scary, and blotchy! I just spray a tiny bit on them and it works. I've never used the Build a Tan, so I can't compare them for how they worked for me. All I know is that Jergens Natural Glow smells worse than Micromist.. and Micromist is the least smelliest one I have used, but I can smell it some if I spray a lot on. I just put it on before bed and shower in the morning! What I love about it, is that if I'm getting ready to leave, I can just mist some on my legs or another showing body part, and it dries so quick, doesn't stain, and I can't smell it when I don't put it all over and on my face! I love this stuff!! Bell99 05-22-2006, 12:57 PM Would it wash off in a pool or does it stay put. I use Jerkens and never notice the smell everyone talks about but...... mid way through the summer I notice bloches on my arms and legs where it took more or less for some reason? kathy2d2 05-22-2006, 03:44 PM A noticeable amount does not come off until rubbed (like when you towel off), then it comes off on the towel. I never use it if I am going to be staying at someone's house because I wouldn't want to get it on their towels. It isn't so bad if you pat it rather than rub it dry. tUrRrRa 05-22-2006, 03:50 PM Mine never gets on any towels or clothes even if it rubs on it or when I sweat. I'm sure it will fade a little in the pool (not a HUGE amount though), since it probably fades when I'm showering and using body wash and stuff. The one thing that WILL make it fade fast is shaving.. so shave before!! The small from Jergen's natural glow isn't bad.. but I can still smell it. Definitely not like a lot of foaming self tanners.. yuck those stink! |
